What EMA Can Offer You

Industry Experts, Always Leading the Way

Students can study with EMA from anywhere in the world through our engaging and accessible online platforms. For those enrolled in our equine therapy courses, we also offer masterclass-attended learning in the UK to enhance practical skills and hands-on experience.

As one of the original training providers in the field, EMA has set the benchmark for excellence in equine education and continues to maintain a leading reputation. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support throughout your career—from accredited qualifications to an unrivalled range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, ensuring you maintain your expertise and secure your standing as one of the best in the industry.

Our qualifications are highly recommended by respected professionals across the industry, reflecting the depth of professionalism, knowledge, and care we bring to working with horses.

At EMA, we foster a friendly and inclusive learning environment where every student is respected as a capable, knowledgeable individual with unique insights and experiences that enrich their learning journey and future career with animals.

Setting the Highest Standards in Equine Education

Our qualifications are professionally designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills.  Although they are non-regulated, they are written to specific National Occupational Standards (where available) and aligned with regulated Levels 3, 4, and 5 outcome indicators and assessment criteria to ensure high standards of learning but are not OFQUAL regulated qualifications.

With a non-regulated qualification, you are eligible to join respected professional organisations such as the Equine Professional Education Association (EPEA), the International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT) and others.  However, some organisations may have different entry requirements, so it’s important to check based on your individual goals.

Accreditations and Approvals

EMA is accredited by UK Rural Skills and the Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP).

Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and horse owner courses are approved by The British Horse Society and/or UK Rural Skills.

We also have an affiliation scheme with Balen’s for your insurance purposes.

Commitment to Quality

We are dedicated to upholding high-quality standards across all our courses. Comprehensive policies and procedures are in place, and students can request access to these documents at any time. Angela Hall, EMA’s founder, is also a qualified quality assurance assessor, further reinforcing our commitment to excellence.

Industry Recognition

Angela Hall is a Fellow of the International Society of Animal Professionals, and EMA is a Corporate Member—both testaments to her respected standing in the industry. She is also a published author.

Expert Instructors

All EMA instructors and assessors are industry professionals with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience. Our training equips graduate therapists with the skills to practise in the UK and internationally. In the UK, we operate in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966) and the Veterinary Surgeons (Exemptions) Order (2015).

Pathways for Career Progression
