This programme seeks to provide a stimulating and challenging experience for students wishing to gain the knowledge in order to promote the health, welfare and optimise the nutrition of the horse. As nutrition plays a vital role in the well-being of horses, we seek to develop skilled professionals capable of providing reliable guidance to those in the equine industry, ensuring the best care for horses.

Our instructor Marie is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and ensuring your success.  She not only has a wealth of qualifications and experience in equine nutrition,  but experience of managing her own equine supplement business.

We integrate the most cutting-edge scientific findings into our curriculum.  From basic equine dietary requirements to specialised health concerns, our programme covers it all. There is a specific unit dedicated to racehorse nutrition for those who wish to focus on the racing industry and one for the broodmare and foal.

You'll become a well-rounded professional, including how to design balanced diets for different life stages and activity levels, perform a health assessment, understand the factors affecting equine weight management and implement effective weight management strategies.  Get an insight into equine supplements, their benefits, potential risks and much more.

How is the Training Delivered?

The theory and practical tuition are delivered online in a step-by-step process in a multimedia format.  You have access to video lectures and downloadable manuals.  You will take part in quizzes to engage you in your learning.  You have assignments and case studies to complete as part of your learning and final qualifying.

All coursework is assessed by our expert Assessor and Nutritionist, Marie, which is a key part of your study journey to receive expert feedback and advice on the work you have submitted.

We keep you motivated throughout the course, it is delivered in a friendly and accessible way to everyone,  wherever you live in the world.  If you need any extra tuition with Marie then this is available via Zoom.

Who is the Course Accredited with?

UK Rural Skills so you are guaranteed the highest standards.  Angela Hall is also a qualified quality assurance assessor, she constantly strives to ensure the courses are up-to-date with science and research so you are always at the forefront of the profession.

Course Completion

Realistically the course can be completed in 12 months alongside a full-time career and other commitments depending on the time you have to allocate to your studies, but longer if you need.  The course duration is entirely flexible, you dictate the pace.

Payment of Fees with Total Flexibility

You “pay as you go” this way, you can study in accordance with your available funds and time.

The course fee is £1800.

Payable as either one upfront payment of £1800 or an initial payment to access the training of £400 followed by eleven monthly payments of £128 per month.

When is the course available?
