Sports Massage for

Racehorses

(Level 4)

 

 

 

Sports Massage for Racehorses (level 4) is another high quality career course offered by EMA aimed at the Further Education student working in the racing industry. The training incorporates a variety of massage styles but with a main focus on Sports Massage in preparing the racehorse for optimum athletic performance and recovery.  The course is also underpinned by anatomy & physiology.  Aspiring Therapists for the Racing Industry, Trainers, Head/Travelling staff, Work Riders and Jockey's might be very well suited to this learning to help performance and welfare in their sport.

 

This is aligned to a level 4 nationally accredited training course.

 

This training is delivered over one Module of 3-5 days followed by distance learning which comprises completing assignments and case studies.

If you do not meet the entry criteria for the level 5 course Racehorse Integrative Support Therapies then this is the course for you.

 

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the course are very competitive given the high standard of training offered by EMA with the UKRS accreditation.

 

Attendance in the UK training fees:

Total Fees = £1400

Final Assessment & Certification = £130

 Entry Criteria

We welcome applications from at least ONE of the following categories: We do not discriminate against any applicants – each application is taken on its own merit.  If in doubt if you will qualify for a place on our training programme please get in touch and we will be happy to help you.

  • Those working in the racing industry who have a GCSE standard of education as a minimum with Maths and English.

  • Level 3 Diploma (formerly NVQ level 3) in Racehorse Care & Management and/or extensive work in the racing industry, including for licensed racehorse trainers

  • Racing Trainers / staff who meet the above.

 

Note - Students need to be able to be computer literate to produce their assignments and case studies. 

 

The option is available to progress onto the level 5 training in the future, should you wish to.  See flowchart below.
